Fairfield Farm Kitchens logo

Fairfield Farm Kitchens is a national producer of small batch, premium quality organic and natural prepared foods. Since 2001, FFK has created dishes from locally sourced ingredients while maintaining a firm commitment to sustainable business practices that are environmentally and socially responsible.

Fairfield Farm Kitchens believes that supporting small, regional growers is an integral part of maintaining a sustainable agricultural system. Whenever possible, FFK sources their ingredients from regional family farms. FFK believes that supporting new farmers is key to ensuring availability of the fresh foods they depend upon.

Fairfield Farm Kitchens realizes that the viability of sustainable farming depends upon a new generation of well trained and adequately supported farmers. They are committed to supporting new farmers by:

  • Buying their products. Fairfield Farm Kitchens' purchasing manager is always seeking new local sources for ingredients. Whenever possible, Fairfield Farm Kitchens buys directly from small growers. FFK's small batch production methods allow them to work with their suppliers, buying produce when it is seasonally available. In addition, these production methods allow FFK to buy ingredients in small quantities, which is ideal for new farmers.
  • Telling their stories. Fairfield Farm Kitchens' web site includes a section devoted to their growers, stories about their farms, and the dishes in which their ingredients are featured. By connecting these farms with the resulting meals, FFK informs their customers about the sources of their foods, and makes the presence of farmers a little more visible.
  • Educating their customers. Fairfield Farm Kitchens views their web site as a forum for education and discussion. Through links, profiles, and informative web pages, Fairfield Farm Kitchens shares what they're passionate about-delicious food, healthy agriculture, and a sustainable future.
