Buying their products. Fairfield Farm Kitchens' purchasing manager is always seeking new local sources for ingredients. Whenever possible, Fairfield Farm Kitchens buys directly from small growers. FFK's small batch production methods allow them to work with their suppliers, buying produce when it is seasonally available. In addition, these production methods allow FFK to buy ingredients in small quantities, which is ideal for new farmers.
Telling their stories. Fairfield Farm Kitchens' web site includes a section devoted to their growers, stories about their farms, and the dishes in which their ingredients are featured. By connecting these farms with the resulting meals, FFK informs their customers about the sources of their foods, and makes the presence of farmers a little more visible.
